We take students from age 3, in a program built specifically for that age group. Classes are grouped by stage: 3 to 4, 5 to 7, 8 to 10, and Teens from 11 to 15, so your child always trains with kids at a similar stage.

Questions Parents Ask
We take students from age 3, in a program built specifically for that age group. Classes are grouped by stage: 3 to 4, 5 to 7, 8 to 10, and Teens from 11 to 15, so your child always trains with kids at a similar stage.
Every class is coach led and age appropriate. Live rolling is introduced gradually and always supervised, with safety and control taught alongside every technique from day one, not as an afterthought.
Not at all, it's exactly what this program is built for. Coaches are experienced with nervous first timers of every age, and the class structure builds confidence gradually rather than forcing it.
Belts are earned, not given for attendance. Coaches assess technical skill alongside effort, coachability, and how your child treats their training partners. We are not a participation only grading gym.
Consistency matters more than intensity. Two classes a week is a strong, sustainable starting point, and it's not a seasonal activity, skills and confidence build through regular training, not a term at a time.
Yes. Every age group starts with a free trial class, so your child can try it and you can see if it's the right fit before committing to anything.
Adults Program
Adults Questions
Beginners classes are a dedicated space to learn the fundamentals, terminology and basic movement with no one ahead of you. Regular classes run for everyone from beginner through advanced, with coaches adapting the session to whoever's training that day, so they're a genuinely welcoming place to start too. Whichever fits your schedule, you'll be looked after from your first class.
Absolutely. Classes are structured for every fitness level, and no one is pushed into live rolling before they're ready.
No. Wear comfortable shorts and a t shirt. We'll provide anything else you need for your free class.
Completely normal, and exactly why every class is beginner friendly. Let your coach know it's your first time and they'll pair you up and adjust the pace so you feel part of it from day one.

Uniforms
Uniform Questions
No. Come in comfortable shorts and a t shirt for your free trial, and we'll provide anything else you need to try it out.
REPLACE WITH YOUR SIZING GUIDANCE, e.g. Gi sizing is based on height, not clothing size. Ask a coach or visit the Pro Shop and we'll fit you properly.
REPLACE WITH YOUR ACTUAL POLICY, e.g. Kids Gis are cut specifically for children's proportions, and are what we stock and recommend.
Wash it after every class, cold water, no fabric softener or bleach, and air dry rather than tumble dry to protect the fabric and stitching. Your belt should never go in the wash, it holds your rank and gets better with age and sweat, not soap.
The same style, Gi or rashguard and shorts, just sized differently. The belt system and uniform standard is consistent across every age group at Legacy.
