Meet Xavier
Xavier today, pictured with coach Lucas
Full of energy. Learning to listen, focus and find his place.
Focused. Resilient. Training 4 to 5 days a week. Wants to earn his black belt.
“The self esteem he gets from Legacy is really making a massive difference.” — Xavier's Mum
Xavier started training with us just after his 4th birthday, four years ago. Like many young kids, he was full of energy and still learning how to manage that energy, follow direction, and find his place in a group.
Fast forward to today, and Xavier has evolved into a respectful, focused and resilient young man. He listens, is respectful, encourages his teammates, and works hard through every challenge.
A special mention also goes to Mum and Dad.
We know there have been days when getting Xavier to class wasn't easy. There were moments when it would have been much easier to stay home, but you stayed consistent. You made training something you never skipped, and today you're seeing the rewards of that commitment.
These journeys don't happen overnight. They happen one class at a time, through consistency, patience, and simply continuing to show up.
So, if you're a parent finding it hard to get your child through the doors each week, keep going. Trust the process. One day you'll look back and realise just how far they've come.
I just wanted to touch base and express my heartfelt gratitude for our Legacy fam and the support of Xavier.
I know how hard and sometimes thankless running a business can be but I have to say, I am so grateful for you guys and the support, encouragement and care you show Xavier.
He has been going to Legacy since he was 4 (he is nearly 8) and it has taken this time for him to really find his passion with it. He has had a bit of a rough start to grade 2 as we navigate his own vibe, and this afternoon after receiving 2 stripes has made his week! The self esteem he gets from Legacy is really making a massive difference.
He really wants to go and train 4 or 5 days a week, he was so pumped to be able to tie his own belt, he wants to be a black belt one day and compete, he also is learning so much about how to look after his mates.
I just needed to let you know. I'm so proud of him and the progress he's made and I really just wanted to say thank you. When you are a mum and your little one has a different energy, to find a place where he lands and feels loved and supported means so much.
